Interesting... collab between Imogen and Chris Corner. Dunno if I love LOVE it like i should, considering i'm a big fan of both these kids, but yeah... s'pose it'll grow on me. Also... weird f'ed up cross dressing video again, of course, directed by Chris... him as the laaaady and Imogen as the man. Strangely enough I think Imogen looks better like this, as opposed to her usual crazy get up.

long weekend. woot! i just cooked myself breakfast. was going to cook something from Gwyneth Parltrow's guide to better living, aka GOOP. but i just ended up making French Toast and Chocolate Milk instead. now I'm downloading Spiderbait songs. Jane better hurry up and call... otherwise I'm goin out.

I really love this song... let me tell you. No kidding, huh? I'm really excited to have their new album coming out, accompanied by a really cool book designed by Emy Storey. I feel like the last album really meant something to me. A lot of people give me shit about my Tegan and Sara thing, but I can honestly call 'The Con' one of my favourite albums of all time.

Today I found a note someone wrote to me years ago. It's weird when I read it now. At the time I probably just fobbed it off. But now, whenever I read it, it makes me well up like a little bitch. Anyway, thanks to the writer of said note, because whenever I stumble across it, it gives me hope. You've probably forgotten that you wrote it now, haha, but anyways ;)... it's a nice thing.

"Dear Mrs Beatie, please excuse Eliza for being out of uniform today, as her school pants are in the wash, Sincerely, Y Wilson *insert shakey imitation signature here." They were always in the wash. Then Dean kindly tells me he's one note off being suspended... and I spent the rest of the day expecting a nasty phone call from an angry member of the faculty.

It's cold. And quiet. And lonely. I'm going to bed to read Women's Health and delude myself that one day soon, I'm going to get fit, lose 10kgs and gain a few inches upwards rather than out. Surely reading the healthy magazine counts for something though... right?

Olds In Bali

Day 1.
Eliza and Bruce come home and cannot work the TV. It has no sound. Aren't we meant to be the young ones who understand the technology? If Mum was here, she'd be pissed she'd be missing Home & Away and she'd get right on that shiz. STAT!

Food:
Eliza: Microwave meal and self made salad of tomato, celery and balsamic. "Remove meal from box and peel one side to vent. Cook for 3 minutes. Stir, then heat for another 3, allow to stand, then consume."
Bruce: Pasta found in the fridge. "Whose is the pasta?" "Anyones. I dunno how long it's been there.... actually.... maybe we ate it on Monday... but.... I really don't remember, maybe it was Sunday" "Yeah, I'm eating it, it'll be right.... yeah?"


General consensus: "so... this TV without sound... it just wont do..."

I love this Owl City song... it's as if PlayRadioPlay!, Postal Service and Goddamn Electric Bill had a threesome.. and somehow all the electronic, cute, pop, jizz mixed, made this... and it came out like they gave birth to a colourful rainbow of happiness. ha. and yanno.. i could do with a bit of that shit. Also check out the Speak & Spell in the cool video... now they were the shiz back in the day!
